Akshay Kumar has a ‘housefull’ board outside his house and the guest are not from the tinsel world, they are renowned cricketers like Nassir Hussain, Brendon McCullun, Herschelle Gibbs, Kieron Pollard, Andrews Symonds, Kamran Akmal, Tilak Ratne Dilshan, Graham Gooch, Wasim Akram, Mathew Hayden.

Wonder what they are doing in Bollywood… Read on….

Akshay’s forthcoming ‘Patiala House’ does a rare thingie, it brings together the nation’s biggest passion cinema and cricket together for the junta.

As we said earlier Khiladi Akshay Kumar Knock at 2011 is a serious father son drama. The B-town player, who has had his share of success stories in comedy with a smile, now gets serious and plays a cricketer in this film.

The movie has real life cricketers playing with the B-town Khiladi, adds a close hand, “Shooting with the cricketers was amazing, we had thought that Akshay would require a lot of practice and maybe we would have to cheat and re create shots but he was amazing and playing like a pro with them.”

T-Series' Bhushan Kumar confirms that Nikhil Advani was very keen that we do justice to the script; in script Akshay is playing for England and it is world cup that they are playing for. So it needed to have a lot of known faces to be seen with Akshay. That’s when we approached these guys, send them the scripts and got them on board.

Hmmmmm.. reminds us of a Hollywood flick ‘Victory’ (1981) starring Stallone as a goalkeeper along with the legendary footballer Pele and other football greats of those times that included England's Bobby Moore and Hollywood veteran actor Michael Caine.

Even Priyanka Chopra’s ex flame Harman Baweja starrer ‘Victory’ had famous cricketers like Brett Lee, Simon Hussie in the flick.

Let’s see how much boundaries this ‘Patiala House’ scores…
